Chloe Wozniak

Chloe is also a stripper and Simone’s best friend. She’s very short, very blonde, very busty and very loud. She wears platform boots, tight clothes and is particularly fond of low cut tops with slogans such as ‘pornbabe’ printed across the front.

Chloe likes men in uniform, chicken-in-a-biscuit and bong hits. Behind her seemingly dumb blonde exterior she’s a loyal friend and shrewd business woman who knows how to ‘work it’ to get what she wants. She’s also handy to have on your side in a brawl.

Alex Christakos

Alex is a detective senior constable with the Victoria Police. He’s thirty five, tall, dark, smooth and, like most Libran men, always dresses well. He likes fancy restaurants and jazz music and wears this particular mellow, woody cologne that gets Simone salivating like Pavlov’s dogs.

Alex is a bit of a stickler for the rules, thinks Simone is completely chaotic and slightly crazy and warns her off cases, not that she ever listens. The two of them always end up in passionate clinches but never seem to get the opportunity to go ‘all the way’.

Sean Shields

Sean’s a detective with the Asian Squad and has been Alex’s best friend since they went through the academy together. They even played in the police jazz band.

Sean was born in Scotland and looks a little like Ewan McGregor. He lives in a flat in Fitzroy and enjoys vodka, Marlboro lights and health food. He speaks multiple languages and although Sean acts quite camp Simone discovers he is indeed a cunning linguist.

Curtis Malone

When Simone first met Curtis he was a dishevelled journo for Picture magazine, covering stripping comps, biker beano’s and baked bean wrestling. The best thing about the job was getting to make up words like tockley and spadger. The worst was the fact that constant exposure to T & A left him completely desensitised to the female form.

Tony Torcasio

Tony is a stocky, heavily tattooed ex undercover cop who wears Hawaiian shirts and owns the A1 Investigation agency.
He was Simone’s tutor at the Australian Security Academy and offered her a job when she graduated. Provided she could keep herself out of trouble…

Suzy McCullers

Scotch swilling blonde detective who works with Alex and fancies him. Needless to say she’s not too fond of Simone!

Andi Fowler

Is a very old friend of Simone’s. They met as toddlers in the early eighties when their radical feminist mothers shared a house in Potts Point. Andi is part maori with short dark hair and a pixie face and she likes to wear ripped jeans and converse high tops. She brews her own beer, is a bit of a slob, and loves The Ramones and Iggy and the Stooges. After years as a waitress she finally decided on journalism as a career, without realising the whole world of trouble it was going to lead her into.

Trip Sibley

Is a young celebrity chef and part owner of the three hatted Jouissance restaurant in St Kilda. He looks like a cross between Michael Hutchence and a pirate on the cover of a romance novel and even appeared in People magazines ‘50 sexiest’ issue. He enjoys riding his crimson Ducati 996, bondage, ingesting hallucinogens, and shagging anything that moves and some things that don’t. Simone finds herself strangely (and somewhat embarrassingly) attracted to him…
